Elexis Gillette who goes by Lex, is a Paralympian athlete from North Carolina in the United States competing mainly in category F11 long jump events.
He competed in the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, China. There he won a silver medal in the men's Long jump - F11 event, finished fifth in the men's Triple jump - F11 event, went out in the first round of the men's 100 metres - T11 event and went out in the first round of the men's 200 metres - T11 event.
He also won silver in the 2004 Summer Paralympics in the same event, and is the fastest totally blind athlete.
He went to high school at Athens Drive High School and college at East Carolina University.[1]
